Location #14 - Brick Walls - Cedar Rapids, IA

Brick walls are a great backdrop for almost any photography session, adding interest and character. Here are a few of my favorite wall backdrops in Cedar Rapids. 

Ainsley Cooper - Senior Photos

Last Saturday I took my Canon XTi and cleaned every surface. I even used a Q-tip for every nook & cranny. I polished every lens. I charged every battery I had. Everything was packed in my camera bag ready to go, and I was excited.

Saturdays photo shoot was with Ainsley Cooper, an energetic senior who was great to work with! With this photo shoot I used a 28-85mm f/3.5-4.5 lens, and the fluidity worked well for capturing the many poses we shot. Ainsley was wonderful at finding her own poses, but also took direction well, which made the photo shoot fly by!

The location used for this photography session was Hickory Hill.

Walls are a perfect back-drop for engagement photos, senior portraits, weddings, and family photos. Here are some charming spots located in Anamosa, IA.

Location #12 - Wapsipinicon State Park - Anamosa, IA

Wapsipinicon State Park is a picturesque location chalk full of hot spots for photo opportunities. With their famous upside down bridge, tall grasses, rocky paths, and large, mature trees, Wapsipinicon is a nice place for casual family photos or beautiful engagement shots.

Location #11 - Beaver Park - Cedar Rapids, IA

Beaver Park is located in the middle of Cedar Rapids. It offers bridges, fallen trees, large rocks, and flower beds. This location is great for senior photos, engagement sessions,  and baby and family portraits!

Location #10 - Tiffin Veterans Memorial - Tiffin, IA

The Tiffin Veterans Memorial is easily accessible, yet offers a great deal of versatility. Bridges, benches, fallen trees, flowers, and a quaint stream outline this area. Overall, you couldn't ask for a better outdoor location!

Location #9 - 2nd Alley - Cedar Rapids, IA

Second Alley is a wonderful location for engagement photos - especially those looking to make Save the Date postcards!
